How to watch VR porn on Pico 4 Ultra
The Pico 4 Ultra is the main standalone rival to the Quest 3 outside North America. It has a 2160 × 2160 per-eye screen, the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip as the Quest 3, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage and colour passthrough. It launched in Europe at €600 / £530 in September 2024; it is not sold in the US.
What resolution to choose
- 6K to 8K. The screen is sharp enough for 8K to show a difference, and 256 GB of storage leaves room for downloads.
- For streaming on slower Wi-Fi, 6K is the safer choice.
Three ways to watch
- The built-in browser: log in to the site, open a scene and switch the player to VR.
- A VR video player app: a dedicated player gives better image controls and smoother playback. Check that the player you want is in the Pico store; see the best VR video player.
- Downloads: download in the headset, or copy files from a PC over USB-C.
Passthrough (AR) scenes
The Pico 4 Ultra has colour passthrough from two 32-megapixel cameras, so AR scenes work: the performer appears in your own room. Options: AR Porn and the best AR and passthrough sites.
Volumetric scenes
Braindance has a standalone client for the Pico 4 Ultra, and VRPorn.com Premium unlocks eight of its experiences.
Which subscription to start with
For a first membership, VRPorn.com on the yearly plan gives you the widest choice, AR scenes and unlimited downloads. All verdicts are on the home page.
